Program Pricing
Program pricing varies depending on the season. For exact rates, please contact us directly via WhatsApp, phone, or email.
We offer daily, weekly, and monthly pricing options, with increasing discounts for longer stays. The longer you participate, the more value you receive, as extended stays allow us to build on training and make greater use of the time and energy invested in each volunteer.
What Is Included in the Program Fee
Your program fee covers the essential components needed to participate fully in the Tortugas Costa Rica sea turtle conservation experience:
Accommodation
- A bed in the volunteer house
- Shared living environment with other participants
Meals
- Three meals per day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
- Meals are provided daily as part of the program
Training & Program Access
- Full training in sea turtle conservation practices
- Hands-on participation in all program activities
What Is Not Included in the Program Fee
The following costs are the responsibility of each participant:
Transportation
- Transportation to and from the airport (approximately $20 USD each way by bus)
- Transportation within the local area (typically limited to one free trip per week; additional trips are at personal expense)
Tours & Excursions
- Optional tours and activities are not included
- Prices can range from $20 to $100 USD, averaging about $40 depending on the activity and distance
Personal Items
- Toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.)
- Laundry detergent
- Any other personal supplies
Additional Notes
Participants are encouraged to plan accordingly and bring or budget for any personal needs and optional activities. Tortugas Costa Rica aims to provide a supportive, immersive conservation experience while keeping program costs accessible.
